The date a palindrome;
The brand is duotone;
Blank and pink,
My own custom shade.
Keep it simple,
Keep it authentic.
100 percent me.
I have learned some things,
Number one,
I need to be better with schedules
Songs to be distributed to streamers
Week prior to the day I want it available,
Not the day before.
Number two,
Make rules and adhere to them;
A tenet of good design,
Also for consistent branding.
I have a business degree,
I should maybe use it.
It sure used me
For my wallet,
For my credit,
For my life.
Marketing class is a joke,
An expensive way to say
What I have said above,
For free.
Come up with something catchy
And repeat it to anyone and everyone.
Ba da ba ba bah,
I'm loving it.
Eat fresh.
Arby's, we have THE MEATS!
(I always imitate the commercial when I talk about Arby's)
Minnesota Rusco, since 1965.
Maybe I watch too much television?
Idk but all of that shit,
Has been drilled into our skulls,
Longer than we can remember.
So this is my bit,
I am the drill.
Black and pink,
Simplicity,
Honesty.
Number three,
I need my eyes,
I need to find my people.
They are probably depressed,
20 something's,
Who don't feel like they belong.
They want to believe in something
They want to have optimism for the world.
They want to hear a message that speaks to them,
A actually says something worthwhile.
Netflix has a 3 part docu-series
Following the career
Of Kanye West.
It begins in 1998,
6 years prior to the release of his debut album,
The College Dropout.
The filmmaker believed in him,
I want to find people to believe in me,
And vice versa.
New song in the works,
Coming out in March.
Monthly releases,
For as long as I can keep it going.
Pandemic, fried my batteries,
Thought I'd never be able
To create again.
But instead, it was hibernation.
Getting better,
Getting stronger,
Now is the time to go out into the world,
And get even better,
Get even stronger,
Make some friends,
And play as much music as I can.
If I need a spark,
You can catch me
at the Entry,
the Amsterdam,
First Ave, or
the Fine Line*.
I'll be the tall guy
Who is blocking your view of the stage.
Not sorry.
*Also maybe the local AMC,
If a good movie is playing.
Just not related to musical endeavors.
