Press Release - A Loaded God Complex by The Messiahs Out January 5, 2024

I am proud to present my debut EP A Loaded God Complex, to be released January 5, 2024. The EP will be available on all streaming platforms and for digital purchase via Bandcamp. The first track "Jesus Fucking Christ" is available now on Bandcamp.

This is by far the most ambitious project I have ever taken on as an artist. I have written all of the songs near the tail end of 2021 and into the beginning of 2022. All aspects of the project were completed by Steven Sauro.

As implied by the title of the project A Loaded God Complex, the record is me grappling with my catholic upbringing, American politics, and how people who are claim to be good christians can be some of the biggest hypocrites all over the course of six tracks. The title is also a reference to a formative band in my life Fall Out Boy.

I would like to thank my family, for tolerating me recording these songs. Gibson Guitars for creating my go to instrument in my Black Les Paul Jr. Music Man Guitars and St. Vincent as the St. Vincent Signature is on every track as well. All guitars played through a Vox AC-30. All Acoustic Guitar comes from my Fender Acoustasonic Jazzmaster. Bass is a Squire Jazz Bass. Synthesizer on the record is all the Korg Minilogue. Lastly I would like to not give thanks to all religious organizations that remain silent when politicians evoke your God and use your teachings to spread hate and bigotry. Your silence makes you complicit and you will fall on the wrong side of history. Jesus removed the merchants from the temple where you all are endorsing them; helping them gain more power. Shame on you.
