discovered gravity

an invisible force

pushing down upon the earth

every second of the day

let your mind relax

let your body relax

let it get soft and heavy

feel the pressure of gravity

pushing you down

we as people

put so much pressure

on ourselves

for no reason

we add onto the pressure

that cannot be taken away

until our bodies

give out from under us

but its expected

that we get back up

that we push on

that we never give up

knees give out

backbones break

the machine is designed

to chew you up

and spit you out

its a hungry beast that

cannot be satiated

it craves more

and more and more and more

the pressure to be better

than the generation that came before

builds and builds

the greatest generation

was young in the 40s

and its been all downhill since

but the pressure builds

need to better them

any means necessary
