License To Kill

I'm tired of living in a world where people actually can have a license to kill

Whether it be from the color of their skin

Or a badge on their chest

A uniform

A pledge

Money

Popularity

Power

So many innocent lives lost

For the sake of foreign influence

Or a sense of superiority

I don't think being a selfish bastard makes you any better than anyone elseDoes God care if you skip church to protect the weak and vulnerable?

Is hoping for a harsh final judgement so wrong?

Because justice has failed us in this life

The people who are supposed to protect us are killing the innocent

Because they got it in their minds that they could

That their life was more important

Than somebody else's
