up on the wire

and if i fall

its into a volcano

the thing no one ever says

when you are up on the ledge

is how narrow it is

you can't stand

with both feet side by side

but with one foot

in front of the other

and life moves

step by step

or your balance is off

there is nothing there

to break your fall

from this one
