you are born and then you are reborn

your body is created then your mind

you need the personality that develops

when your parents aren't looking

when they get your hands off of you

when you get their thoughts and influence

out of your mind out of your life

nature vs nurture

and like all post apocalyptic scenarios

nature will always reclaim

what has been built by humans

what we think of as institutions

will crumble to the sea and fade away

who are you when you strip away

every single piece of your identity

what remains without

a race

an ethnicity

a religion

a family

or a name?

well that would be a skeleton

and those all look about the same

god is supposed to be all loving

so why do his believers

hate so much in his name

why do they kill in his name

isn't there a commandment in favorite book

that says to not kill?

maybe we'd be better off blind

but I'm sure we'd find a way to hate

based on sound, taste, or touch

that seems to be the human way
